Commissions Work !

A painting is always a place between- mostly two things- and the love for that simplicity is part of the work of commissions for me. It is your impulse to see something without trampling it, so it can open, (via the paint) and my own hope to catch what that is, which thus begins it, from the start of our creative relationship.

Should we create? Might be just what we need.

Examples of several paintings created on commission are shared below : ) There have been many others created over the last ten years, sometimes just in basic watercolor, and sometimes a little more quirky and ‘bespoke’ - on doors, old panels, and even once on a Lazy Susan. Every material/surface and the exact dimensions are customized for the commission, thanks to a handful of delightful professionals I resource here in Vermont. I use the rate of $3.00 square/in for each painting, (ex: 10” x 10” x $3.00 = $300) and it can take a few months to a year depending on que, and “the two things” and whatever else is happening!
